Hundreds of firefighters put out a car warehouse in western Chicago. The fire started around 8:45 a.m. Thursday in the Landale neighborhood. Damage to two other homes posted on a Chicago Fire Media Twitter account shows a fire department spokesman being called to report someone inside the building, showing several trucks struggling to catch fire. Fox29 reported that more than 250 firefighters and 90 engines and trucks were involved. Initial report Three alarm fires, four alarm flames. In addition, the department designated a Level 1 Hasmat because of the presence of hazardous materials within the facility. A spokesman told reporters the damage was “extensive” and the building could be demolished.
