Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis wins the NBA All-Star Game Skills Challenge

Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis became the first player in Indiana Pacers history to be crowned in the NBA All-Star Skill Challenge.

Sabonis defeated Nicola Vucevic in the final with an impressive and almost perfect display, after passing to Julius Randle and Luka Doncic. In 2020, the Lithuanian lost the final of the event.

Orlando Magic’s Vucecic had defeated Chris Paul (Phoenix Suns) in the semifinals to get his ticket to the championship round.

“Last year I was close. That’s why I came motivated this time. It’s exciting to be here with the best in the NBA, with whom you live a very good camaraderie,” Sabonis said after his victory .

Doncic, one of the favorite players of the fans, competed for the second time in a row in this Skills Challenge, in which he also fell in the semifinal stage in 2019.
