An alleged gunman was arrested after a shooting shooting Thursday that left one person dead and five injured in Bryan, Texas, according to authorities. One of the victims was injured identified as a state soldier who was shot during a manhunt.
Police identified the suspect Thursday afternoon as Larry Bollin, 27, of Grimes County. He has been charged with homicide and admitted to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.
The first shooting took place at Kent Moore’s closet manufacturing facility, where police said the suspect was a employee. At two-thirty in the afternoon, local time, police responded to reports of a shooting at the business, where they discovered several gunmen. The suspect fled the scene and was later arrested after shooting the state soldier, who officials said was in serious but stable condition.
The five victims of gunfire were taken to local hospitals, officials said. An additional person was taken to hospital after suffering an asthma attack.
Bryan, a central Texas city located about 100 miles northwest of Houston, has a population of 84,000 and is located near Texas A&M University College Station.
