A Texas state soldier is in stable condition after receiving a shot chasing a person suspected of setting fire to the downtown Texas business park Thursday afternoon, killing one person and injuring five more, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The soldier is in serious but stable condition; it is unclear whether the alleged shooter has been arrested or whether he continues to flee.
Eric Buske, Bryan’s police chief, said shortly before 5 p.m. that a person believed to be a Cabinet employee Kent Moore showed up at the company’s headquarters and started firing near the warehouse.
One person died at the scene, while another five were hospitalized for gunshot wounds; four of these patients are in critical condition. A sixth person was also hospitalized after suffering an asthma attack.

The victims were taken to St. Louis Regional Health Hospital.
