The Hawaii Department of Health reported 565 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the state’s total to 57,235. A new COVID-related death was reported.
A total of 100 new infections were identified on the Big Island on Tuesday. The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency reports 1,671 active cases with 40 people hospitalized.
The two-week state average is now 688 new cases a day, with a test positivity rate of 8.3%. A map documenting new cases by districts on all islands can be accessed on the DOH website.

O’ahu: 40,421
Maui: 6,760
Hawaii: 6,656
Kaua’i: 1,048
Moloka’i: 154
Lana’i: 126
Pending: 0
Out of State: 2,070
A total of 3,220 people have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 565 have died.
To date, a total of 1,833,678 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 62% of the population fully vaccinated, with 70.4% receiving at least one shot.
