SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) – As a mass vaccination clinic is up and running in Fort Bend County, the Hermann Memorial, which supports county efforts, immediately filled an additional 1,000 appointments by Friday afternoon.
The Sugar Land Smart Financial Center clinic is open to Phase 1B people or people 65 and older. Appointments could only be made through the Hermann Memorial portal website.
According to the hospital, the time slots were from noon to 5:15 p.m. They are no longer available.
The clinic began earlier this week and about 16,000 COVID-19 vaccines are expected to be administered.
On Thursday, SkyEye captured a fast line of cars and people out of vehicles waiting to be vaccinated.
