And best of all, most of these tips don’t even require you to leave the comfort of your own home.

1. Sell unwanted Christmas presents
It may seem like a bit of a scrooge, but leaving unwanted gifts to collect dust doesn’t benefit anyone.
Instead, sell them online to earn some extra cash.
There are four main websites where you can try to sell unwanted items, where you will find everything from clothes to cars.
They are: Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Shpock and Depop.
Depending on what you want to sell, you may be looking for a hundred pounds or more.
Please note that some of these sites may charge posting fees or charge a percentage of any sales, so check first.
Anything you can’t sell, donate to the charity store or try to take it to a car trunk.
2. Pay at Google
Yes, there are actually companies that will pay you simply to surf the Internet.
One is Qmee, which involves installing a plugin in your browser that runs in the background as Google.
If you click on a result that interests you, you will earn cash.
It is usually 7 to 15 p per search, but can sometimes reach 1 GBP.
Cash is paid to you via Paypal.
3. Recycle other people’s trash and sell it
A good way to make money from the comfort of home is with a little DIY.
Pippa Selby, 31, of Bromley, is a member of LatestDeals.co.uk and saves £ 3,000 a year by buying second-hand furniture and doing so.
But it also sells a lot when selling car trunks and online.
Find free furniture in your local area at Gumtree and Freecycle, pick it up and cycle through tutorials on YouTube.

We have previously reported how you can earn up to GBP 6 per survey.
5. Get free Amazon vouchers with online surveys
Marketing and research companies provide you with Amazon vouchers for your opinions, time or data.
For example, a company called Swagbucks provides you with up to GBP 5 per hour.
Another OnePoll gives you 1 GBP per survey you complete.
If you spend time on it, you can earn a steady side income that will come in handy throughout the year.
