Martin did not play in the preseason opening while recovering from a knee injury. Outstanding last summer, Martin has been with the third team defense much of the field this year, and the Packers have tried to train him as an outside defender. Do you have a place on the list right now? The Packers have two starters (De’Vondre Campbell, Krys Barnes) and two established second-team teams (Ty Summers, Oren Burks). Martin is no taller than the No. 5 defender. And keep in mind that Ray Wilborn flashed a bit at the preseason opening. Martin needs to catch up in a hurry, starting Saturday against the Jets.
