1,289 additional confirmed cases, 9 deaths and 490 hospitalizations for COVID

The Department of Health reported about 1,289 confirmed cases and nine additional deaths from the coronavirus, COVID-19.

According to information published on the digital portal, the accumulated cases confirmed on the island reach 107,056. In addition, about 483 probable cases, which are detected with the antigen test, are indicated for a cumulative total of 13,515. While of the serological tests, about 1,022 additional cases are indicated accumulating a total of 107,242.

With nine deaths reported today, the total number rises to 2,194. These deaths arise, four in the Bayamón region, two in Caguas, two in Metro and one in Arecibo. In the case of Bayamón, there are four women aged 81, 59, 57 and 34, while in Caguas there is a woman and a man aged 89 and 53 respectively. In the metropolitan area it is indicated of a female of 41 and a man of 68 and the case of Arecibo is a woman of 93.

On the other hand, in the hospitalizations an increase of seven people was reported for a total of 490. Of these, 454 are adult cases and 36 minors. Although hospitalizations in adults increased, a slight reduction in intensive care of 2 adults and one minor with 92 and 4, respectively, is reflected.

In the case of patients with ventilator, adults remain at 60 and in minors down from 3 to 2.
