About 58 million Americans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and about 102 million have received at least one shot, according to data released Friday.
In all, 17 percent of the U.S. population is fully vaccinated, while 30 percent have received at least one shot, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data tracker.
The majority of fully vaccinated people (approximately 53%) are 65 years of age or older, while 22% of other adults are completely inoculated, according to the data.
In contrast, 32.9 million people, or 9.9% of the population, had been completely vaccinated on March 10 and 62.4 million people, or 18.8%, had received at least one dose.
Overall, 57.9 million people in the U.S. were completely vaccinated, while 101.8 million people have received at least one dose as of Friday, officials said.
States with the lowest vaccination rates included Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
There are three COVID-19 vaccines available in the US: one dose shot by Pfizer, another dose shot by Moderna and a single shot by Johnson & Johnson.
