If nothing better came out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tyson Alualu’s singing for the Pittsburgh Steelers is one of them. Alualu was supposed to plan to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars this season and the Steelers should figure out how to replace him.
But Alualu is back and that’s great for the Steelers. Here are the three big things that Alualu’s return to Pittsburgh entails.

The injury error hit half of the Steelers defense hard last season. Home defender Devin Bush along with Alualu wasted time and suffered the entire defense. If the Steelers feature Robert Spillane in the middle of the entire season, Alualu up front makes me much more comfortable.

The Steelers have significant draft needs on both sides of football. Getting Alualu to sign with Pittsburgh could have a serious negative effect on the draft and give the Steelers more influence to focus on the offensive side of the ball early.

Alualu is now the second owner of the Steelers facing a free agency that decides to return to Pittsburgh with more money on the table elsewhere. This is the kind of culture that winning franchises have.
