The grandmother made the sad discovery around 9:30 a.m. on the 8000 block of Reseda Boulevard, a LAPD spokesman told ABC7.
Each of the victims was less than three years old, authorities said. All were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles firefighters.
No suspects have been arrested in connection with the case, police said. Investigators were unable to locate the victims’ mother.
“Right now we are asking for help from the public to locate a person of interest in this case, a 30-year-old Hispanic woman named Liliana Carrillo,” the LAPD said in a tweet, which included a photo of Carrillo. His possible relationship with the children was not revealed.

“We are receiving reports that you have just committed a robbery in the Bakersfield area” and that you may be driving in a stolen silver Toyota van with license no. J258T0, said the police department.
