It looks like Hong Kong customs is having a good day after seizing about 300 of NVIDIA’s new CMP (Crypto Mining Processors) mining cards.

According to MyDrivers, Hong Kong customs have confiscated cryptographic mining GPUs in a smuggling attempt, but this is not what you should do when in some regions of China there are bans on cryptographic mining. There was a massive increase in electricity demand from cryptographic mining operations that enjoyed economical prices in many regions of China.
According to estimates, China supplies about 65% of the world’s mining energy requirements, which is why the government has been drastically reducing cryptographic mining farms. The 300 new NVIDIA cryptographic mining GPUs were confiscated, with the entry-level CMP 30HX captured in large quantities.

Imagine now seeing all these cryptographic mining cards and not being able to do anything about them (you can’t use them as game graphics cards as they have no screen output) and you know there are 300 of them, so mining of cryptography with electricity at a good price = stupid not to do it.
