49ers RB Raheem Mostert returns to practice before week 15 against the Cowboys

The 49ers received some good news during training on Thursday. Runner Raheem Mostert returned to action after losing Wednesday’s session with an ankle injury.

On Wednesday, head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Mostert could practice on the weekend, and his appearance on Thursday is a good sign for his availability on Sunday.

Still, he’s working his way back from a high ankle sprain that will last for the rest of the season. Until it fits in Dallas on Sunday, there will be at least a small question about its availability.

Here is Thursday’s internship report:

He did not participate

C Hroniss Fat (knee)
WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring)

Limited participation

G Daniel Brunskill (shoulder)
DT DJ Jones (ankle)
CB Emmanuel Moseley (hamstrings)
RB Raheem Mostert (ankle)
LB Fred Warner (acute)
CB K’Waun Williams (ankle)
