San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, general manager John Lynch, and quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello attended Justin Fields ’professional day in Columbus, Ohio, last week. The same trio will represent the team Monday in the second professional training of former North Dakota state quarterback Trey Lance at Fargo, for NBC Sports Bay Area.

On March 26, San Francisco handed over four snippets of selection, including its first players in the next three drafts, to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the No. 3 general election. Jimmy Garoppolo, with the top three candidates for Alabama’s Fields, Lance and Mac Jones.
Jones was the betting favorite to be the No. 3 pick until Fields training last week. Then, Oddsmakers placed the former Ohio state Buckeye at the top of the list. Lance’s training on Monday could have a similar impact.
The 2021 NFL draft kicks off April 29 from Cleveland, Ohio.

Justin Fields, of Ohio State, will do his second professional training on Wednesday, April 14th. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch are expected to attend. Both missed former quarterback Buckeye’s first professional day to attend Mac Jones ’training session at Tuscaloosa. Shanahan and Lynch will also have the opportunity to see North Dakota state quarterback Trey Lance in person. He will celebrate a second professional day on Monday, April 19, 10 days before the start of the 2021 NFL Draft. On Wednesday, Ohio State’s Justin Fields will do a second professional workout. Five days later, Trey Lance of the state of North Dakota will participate in his second. They both try to make sure they are selected ahead of Alabama’s Mac Jones. Trevor Lawrence of Clemson is expected to be No. 1 overall. The New York Jets are expected to select BYU’s Zach Wilson at No. 2. Assuming San Francisco targets a quarterback, leaving Jones, Fields and Lance as San Francisco options at No. 3. Jones is the overwhelming favorite to be the selector if you ask members of the national media. Fans would much prefer the more athletic prospects and with a higher ceiling than Fields or Lance.
