The match between San Francisco and Arizona set a new record for online games

Saturday’s game between the The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals set a record with the largest audience for a broadcast of an NFL game online.

The duel was broadcast mainly on Amazon Prime Video and Twitch. It was seen for about 11.2 million people in total and recorded an average audience per minute of 4.8 million, more than double the previous record.

In 2015, a match between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars in London averaged 2.1 million viewers in its streaming via Yahoo!

The NFL and Amazon reported that the average total length of time taken was 82 minutes, 15 more than the average for an online NFL game.

The match, which San Francisco won 20-12, was also broadcast on television channels in that city and in Phoenix, averaging 1.1 million additional viewers.
