The quake struck off the coast of San Vicente minutes after another 5.9-magnitude quake off the coast of Guatemala.
A 4.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded this Friday in El Salvador. According to data from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Marín) this happened at 11:09
Marin noted that the epicenter took place off the coast of St. Vincent, 42 miles south of the mouth of the Lempa River.
Users on social media point out that he was heard in several country departments, including Sonsonate, San Miguel, Usulután, San Salvador and Cuscatlán.
The quake occurred minutes after another quake was off the coast of Guatemala which had a magnitude of 5.9 degrees and occurred at 10:10 am added the United States Geological Survey.
The epicenter was 47 kilometers west of the municipality of Champeric and 162 kilometers from Guatemala City, with a depth of 58 kilometers.

Authorities reported no property damage at this time.
