5 offers from Roku: our favorite TV streaming devices are for sale

Roku does great transmission devices. Its interface is not the most modern or striking, but it is very simple to set up and use; even those with less technological inclinations can find out. If you’ve recently cut your cable ties or just need to update your current settings, Roku is a solid path.

Most of the Roku devices we’ve tested and recommended are discounted right now, so it’s a good time to buy one if you’ve been to the market.

Roku deals we found

Roku has a lot of devices, so we’ve put together a guide to finding the right Roku for you. Whether you want to spend as little as possible on a small, unpretentious device or you can go out on the soundbar, there’s something in the Roku family that you’d like to meet your needs.

  • Top Pick: Streaming Stick Plus for $ 43 ($ 7 off): Streaming Stick Plus works with HDR or 4K HDR TVs and is our choice for most people. It has longer-range dual-band Wi-Fi and can connect to 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, which is particularly nice if you live in a city apartment. In addition, it has voice search and the remote control can control the volume and power of the TV. Make sure your TV has a place where it can exit the HDMI port. It also has discounts on Amazon, but costs a little over $ 46.
  • Roku Ultra for $ 91 ($ 9 off): We’ve seen this price over the last month or so. The features of the Ultra are similar to the Streaming Stick Plus, but it has a faster processor that makes it better for streaming live TV. There’s a headphone jack on the remote (which includes a nice pair of headphones) so you can watch TV at night without waking up your roommates.
  • Roku Premiere for $ 25 ($ 10 discount): The premiere is Bone Bones. It has no voice search and you cannot control the volume or power of the TV with the remote control. Opt for this if you want to spend as little as possible, but still get support for your 4K TV. You can also get it from Target.
  • Roku Smart Soundbar for $ 150 ($ 30 discount): If you spend a lot of time watching TV or movies, the sound bar is a good investment. This one has a built-in Roku, so you don’t have to think about setting up multiple devices. It has no subwoofer, so we recommend it for smaller rooms. We have a complete soundbar guide, if you want to explore other more advanced audio options.
  • Roku Streambar for $ 110 ($ 20 off): The flow bar is more compact than the previous sound bar. It only costs $ 40 cheaper, so if you have space, it probably makes sense to spend the extra money to get better sound, but the Streambar is good for smaller spaces, as it’s only 14 inches long. You can also get it with Target discounts.

If you are not convinced that Roku will work for you, we also have a guide on the best transmission devices from all major brands. I suggest watching Chromecast with Google TV.
