Announcements

CPS Energy

Nirenberg said CPS Energy has almost finished restoring energy in the San Antonio region. On Saturday night, power was restored to all guests under 40.

However, CPS Energy officials said a vehicle crashed into a utility pole during Friday night and left 1,630 customers living near Cupples Road and Menefee Boulevard without electricity.

The energy company is now working to slow down the customer billing process to eliminate the impact of this week’s winter weather conditions.

Customers are asked not to worry about their bills right now and the service will not disconnect if they cannot pay at this time. For more information on this, click here.

San Antonio water system

San Antonio Water System CEO Robert Puente announced Saturday during the briefing that parts of San Antonio are already released from the boiling water warning. This means they no longer have to boil water before consuming it. Click here for more information on which areas are no longer under the boiling warning.

Customers who are still under the boiling warning may not have water shortages, but may lack pressure. Puente estimates that most of these problems will be resolved on Monday.

According to SAWS, 10% or 9% of the San Antonio region still has no water, but crews are still working on restoration work.
