7 Venezuelans expelled for theft in Transmilenio – Crimes – Justice


On the morning of this Sunday, the Andean regional director of Migration Colombia, Henry Corredor, confirmed that seven citizens had been expelled from the country. Venezuelans who “were part of a dreaded band dedicated to robbery“.

According to Corredor, foreigners commit crimes throughout the Bogota Integrated Public Transport System (SITP and TransMilenio) under the “tick mode”.

“They stole users of the mass transportation system. And they even went so far as to assault people to steal their belongings, especially cell phones,” said the Colombian Migration official.

The immigration authority noted that the gang disbanded thanks to the fact that they were captured after stealing a high-end cell.

After their arrest, and after a judge decided not to give them an intramural security measure, the Andean Regional Migration took the discretionary decision of expel foreigners from the national territory, for a period of ten years.

In fact, the immigration authority issued a statement confirming that “foreigners were taken to the town of Vila de el Rosario, north of Santander, where they were handed over to the Venezuelan authorities.”

It was also noted that with this measure of expulsion the seven foreigners will lose the opportunity to avail themselves of the Temporary Protection Statute.

This 2021 Migration Colombia has expelled 86 Venezuelan citizens linked to various crimes.
