Omaha, Nep. (WOWT) – At 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, a house exploded south of the city near 51st and L streets. One Omaha firefighter, Scott Fitzpatrick, was killed and two others were injured in what became known as the 4810S 51st St. Two’s home blast in the aftermath of the blast, he said. The MUD stopped gas service around the area and the OFD evacuated the entire block on both sides, Fitzpatrick said. The more drastic answer is here. Garbage from the house was thrown into the street.
