A New York City Police Department spokesman said a vehicle plowed into a crowd of about 50 people during a Black Lives Matter demonstration on Friday afternoon in the middle of Manhattan, injuring several people. The incident happened just after 4 p.m., 39th Street and Third Avenue, east of Midtown, police said. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening and the vehicle involved was at the scene, police said. But some other details were immediately available. Local media reports said six people had been attacked and it was unclear how many were taken to hospital. More details coming soon
