New York Police Department officials responded to calls after a motorist entered protesters on Friday. A group of about 40-50 people were reportedly involved in a fight during the incident. There have been mixed reports of the group protesting. When CBS New York said it stood in solidarity with detainees at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Center in Bergen County, ABC 7 reported that it was a Black Lives Matter protest. 4 pm after the demonstrations moved to the street. It is not clear at this time whether the driver deliberately hit pedestrians, but both the driver and the car were at the scene for questioning when police arrived. At least six people were injured during the incident, some were taken to hospital, according to CBS New York.
