Wingman climbs Alaska 737 in Las Vegas

Alaska Airlines Flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland on Saturday was delayed by more than four hours, with one person jumping over a perimeter fence at Las Vegas McCarran Airport and then boarding a Boeing 737.

Officers were quickly called. At first the man performed some kind of ritual, or something, and then he crawled with his wings bent, to avoid getting bored.

After finally boarding the plane, the police climbed on the wing with an emergency exit. At this point the man tried to climb up the wingtip thinking that he would somehow get away. The man fell to the ground very hard.

Alaska Airlines released the following statement regarding the incident:

At 2 p.m., B.S.T., as Alaska Airlines Flight 1367 was preparing to take off from Las Vegas to Portland, a person noticed the plane advancing towards the plane. The pilots announced to the tower. Law enforcement was dispatched and the individual was arrested. Our guests and staff are safe, and we work with law enforcement. The plane has returned to the gate for a full inspection.

I hope that person is not seriously injured. Apparently he has some mental problems so it is sad everywhere because he can get the help he needs.

This is the first time I have seen something like this in the United States. Last year in Lagos we saw a man trying to climb the wing of an Asman Air 737. However, without understanding how the planes work, he seemed to be trying for a ride. He even brought a suitcase and tried to store it in the engine for the flight.

Speaking of something on the wings of planes, of course there is the twilight zone, but I would say it is a little different than the two situations above, right?
