Cyberpunk 2077: 10 Things I Knew Before Playing

The CD program is red

After eight long years of anticipation and anticipation, Cyberbank 2077 has finally officially launched worldwide. Although many players report bad bug issues, especially on PS4 and Xbox One platforms, the game already breaks Steam records. As fans expect from the studio behind CD Project Red, The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk A huge, complex game, With a vast open world to explore in Night City.

I have so far spent over 45 hours with the game. It’s been a lot of hours, but it’s only part of what Cyberbunk 2077 has to offer. However, there are some simple things I have specified for those powered by cyberbank – I wish I had known before loading the game for the first time.

What a difference in the background

When you start the game, you will be given the option of three backgrounds for V: Street Kid, Nomad or Carbo.

Your choice will have two major implications. First, it starts in a different part of Night City and combines with different characters, depending on what you choose, which will affect the opening hours of the game. Carbo starts in an office building, the street kit is a thin bar, a nomad in the Badlands Desert just outside of Night City. In about an hour, you will end up on the same track as the rental gun with your friend Jackie.

Second, the long-term effect is that you get different dialog options based on the background you choose. I went to Carbo, which gave my V the ability to politicize around certain sticky situations. In other words, your background doesn’t make as big a difference as you might worry.

Stack the attributes

And as a result, at the beginning of the game you get the option to distribute points for six different attributes: body, intelligence, reflex, technical ability and cool. With each of these attributes, you get offers that you can open.

First, I half-spread the attribute points and offers. I had an idea in my head that, like most skill trees in most AAA games, all offers could eventually be opened anyway. Truth be told, it’s best for you to choose how you want to approach the war and retain your attribute points and privileges accordingly.

Broadly speaking, there are two ways to deal with war: force and theft. But there are clauses within this. Within strength, you can specialize in melee weapons, fistfights or the game of guns. Within theft, your fraud (Cool attribute and associated privileges make it harder for you to find enemies), hacking skills (you hack nearby technology to distract / harm enemies) or stealth killing doctors).

Obviously, you will adjust your style as you go through the game. But don’t do what I did, try to be consistent – for balance absorbers.

Technical ability to open pump body and doors

Since both are used to open locked doors, both physical and technical skill attributes are very useful when going to Night City. Both have other advantages because gaining more body points allows cars and open parked cars to be hijacked, while technical skills allow hacking of mainframes to obtain eurodollars (game money) and craft components.

Don’t just play key search

I had five days (to try) Beat Cyberpunk 2077 and get a reviewSo, I was forced to ignore the page searches and focus on finishing the main storyline. I highly recommend not to do this.

The story of cyberbanking is one of its strengths. The relationship between V and Johnny Silverhound, the mercenary played by Keenu Reeves who is trapped inside V’s head, deserves welcome attention. But just like exploring Cyberpunk Night City, sees that story to the end. The game itself encourages this, motivating you to take a break from the main quest to do other things.

That is the meaning Good. Page searches are more fun, often more than key searches. They are different – from staying in the seven AI-powered carriages that went rudely (which is one of my favorites, because the personalities in the carts are often legally funny) until solving the mystery of the murdered mayor – Night City is a living, sprawling city.

There are not one but three different story progress trackers – you have to finish everything to get the best results.

As important as it is, doing more page searches will give you access to better results. I “finished” the game in about 25 hours (some critics, did less page search than me, did so in 15-20 hours), but it is clear from the end there are many possible results – and it got me one of the worst. Do more page searches and you will get more convincing and satisfying results for V.

Never use fast travel

It is in a similar vein. When your destination is on the other side of Night City, there are quick travel points around the city that you can use. Sometimes you will not have time to travel from Delhi to Delhi, but if you travel by car or motorcycle you will often get rewarded.

There is so much to do in Night City, you will find something cool if you travel manually. Most likely you will find many awesome things, because after seeing this or that icon call me on the HUD map I will make regular stops for the next search location.

At the very least, you will often encounter crime, and the Knight City Police Department will pay you if you break it and make an arrest (read: kill). Fighting crime often yields solid robbery, so you will not be disappointed with the payment.

Kick to get paid

In addition to page searches, there are “shows” that will help you complete the goal of breaking a character. These are very commercial: an “adjustment” is going to do a job for them, skilting an opponent, sneaking through a hideout and placing a tracker in a vehicle or taking a dangerous ally from one place to another. After all you have a gun to rent.

These are fun and often challenging, and don’t take more than 10 or 20 minutes. To buy cars, new weapons and various upgrades – you will need Eurodollars in cyberbank – I found myself doing these shows so far. (The game certainly has some sort of rich-quick program, but I haven’t figured it out yet.)

Plunder everything

Another way to make money is to sell guns and armor. Most enemies will drop guns or armor after you kill them. I recommend basically taking it all in. You can sell them or remove them to create a cheeky pair. Craft is a great element of cyberbank because you can design weapons, armor and more, and you can use removed weapon parts to upgrade the weapons and armor you already have.

Hack your body

In addition to upgrading weapons and armor, you can upgrade your body in Cyberbunk 2077. To do this, you need to look at what is called “RipperDock” – the doctor who instills cyberware into you. You will do this as part of the initial task, where a Ripperdock friend will fit a new eye system. But this is one of 11 possible eCommerce genres, and each one should be used to help you progress through Night City.

Some cyberware upgrades improve the quality of life that helps you carry more weight in your inventory. But as with features and offers, you need to use cyberware that is compatible with your style. For example, if you are into melee weapons, be sure to get hand upgrades that give your punch more power.

Also: for ,000 45,000, you can get legs that allow you to go double. Do it.

You can make page searches fail completely

One quick thing to note: you can make page searches fail and never have a chance to do them again.

When I first experienced this, I was standing in search of a murderer who was trying to apologize to the mother of the man he had killed. At the end of the search, one of the conversation options I had was, “Well, I saw enough” (or in those ways). I thought it was a cool reverse-psychological trick, so I chose it. No, my host said “OK, good” and the search was over. No toe-overs.

It’s the same for challenges. A kick took me to a shooting competition and a special gun was the first prize. I came in second, got the tape. There is no other way to do it again: I’m lost, that’s it.

No two playthroughs are alike

As you can tell, choices are important in Cyberbank 2077. This is especially true in the main story. Do not go into the game thinking that your choices only make small, cosmetic differences. How you behave, and how you go about completing tasks can have a drastic effect.

I discovered this early on. In the opening section of the game, you are tasked with obtaining military technology from a mob, and are given the option to meet an operator from a technology-stolen mega-corporation. When I demoed the game in June, I did not bother to meet the operator and as a result had to explode my way out of the mob hideout. While I was playing this time, I met the operator, and as a result her corp forces opened fire with the mob, leaving me to clear up very easily.

The result was a completely different experience, and I suspect this is very true for basically every task, in more drastic ways. Remember this when you play – your results are important.
