The good news may be right around the corner. Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) And Moderna (Nasdaq: MRNA) I hope to win the FDA Emergency Use Approvals (EUA) for the respective COVID-19 vaccines soon. Assuming everything is going well, drugmakers may send out their vaccines this month.

Corinne Cardina: In terms of size, how many sizes have Pfizer and Moderna stated that they can produce, and what is the timeline there?
Keith Spites: Pfizer said it could produce up to 50 million doses by the end of this year. Moderna claims to be able to produce about 20 million doses.
But the thing to remember is that Pfizer has specifically added the word “globally” to their statements. So that does not mean that 50 million worldwide will go to the United States.
I think the best estimate of what the CDC says is that between those two vaccines they expect Americans to get about 40 million doses by the end of the year. After that, it gets 5-10 million new levels per week.
I will go with that 40 million dose level by the end of the year. This is more accurate than the total of 50 and 20 million volumes stated by Pfizer and Moderna.
