Over the weekend, there were some devastating news that it would not happen after several months that Kishiya Cole and Ashanti’s highly anticipated Versus two R&B queens would be releasing it in the IG Live series. However, now we are getting some exciting news as it has been announced that West Coast hip hop legends Doo-Hart and E-40 will end the year with the final version of 2020.
On Saturday (Dec. 12), Ashanti revealed that he had contracted the corona virus and had to collide with himself and Cole, and did not want to put anyone around him at risk of contracting. “Hey. I could not believe I was saying this, but I tested positive for COVID-19. I am fine and in no pain. I’m really down to do Versus from my home … we’re trying to figure it out !!! “He wrote in a post that he would soon rely on IG Live with his opponent Cole to talk about cancellation.
Versus’ official account will then announce the new date of their battle on Saturday January 9th. Its statement reads: “Unfortunately, tonight ஷா Ashanti vs @ Keishiyagol has to postpone #VERZUZ. Asanti tested positive before COVID-19, and could not put anyone at risk in the process. For the first time it struck us very close to the scene. We apologize to our incredible audience! Get well soon, Ashanti. Wear a mask, stay inside, and take COVID-19 seriously. It really affects our community. ”
Fortunately, we have the Du-Heart and the E-40’s Versus to look forward to when we leave 2020 – what a difficult year this is! – Get behind us by 2021. Both pioneers will perform this Saturday (Dec. 19) at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
