In an interview aired on Fox News Sunday, President Donald Trump blasted his own U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr, saying he spent the election on Trump by keeping quiet about Hunter Biden’s criminal investigation. The president said a talented person like Special Adviser Robert Mueller would have “set the record straight” as he did after the controversial press reports during the indictment.
Within hours of retweeting a post that said, “Bar should be removed at the end of business today,” Trump was very disappointed with Fox News editor Brian Kilmeid for being told that he had followed judicial code of conduct and remained silent about an investigation. Subject, Hunter Biden, has not been charged with a criminal offense.
Trump compared Barr to Mல்லller, saying he would have corrected Special Adviser Joe Biden for “lying on the debate” about the fact that there was no investigation into his son.
Trump expressed his frustration that, unlike former FBI Director James Comey, Hunter Biden has kept quiet during the 2016 presidential election investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server use – something that the president may have voted for again. Longtime Fox radio presenter Todd Starns released a tweet on Friday saying, “If Biden had known about the trial in the spring and kept it quiet — remove him at the end of the business today”, which prompted a Trump retweet the next day.
The president, who has ridiculed Bar Bar in the past 24 hours, called him “a big disappointment” and accused him of doing nothing even as democratic “discriminatory killers” tried to cover up negative statements about Biden and his son.
“Before the election, why did Bill Barr reveal the truth about Hunter Biden to the public? Joe lied that nothing went wrong in the debate, or that it was happening – the press confirmed. Great harm to the Republicans in the poll!” Trump tweeted Saturday afternoon.
