NFL Week 14 Grades: The Cowboys get an ‘A’ to attract the Bengals, the Giants get a ‘D’ for any show against the Cardinals

Sometimes vengeance is a dish served best cold, and sometimes, it is best served with a side of Cincinnati chili. Andy Dalton beat the Cowboys 30-7 in their first game since returning to Cincinnati after being released by the Bengals.

While this is said to be Dalton’s revenge game, Dalton doesn’t really have to do any dirty work because the Cowboys defense avenged the Bengals for him.

The Cowboys forced a turnover on each of Cincinnati’s top three properties, and Dallas was able to achieve success for a big reason. The biggest play of the game came in the second possession of the Bengals Cincinnati, who ran after Travian Williams. Football in a butt-stumble! Not only was there a butt-stumble, Alton Smith took the ball and finished running 78 dodges to a touchdown, giving Dallas a 10-0 lead.

It is a little miracle that the Cowboys recovered three stumbles in this game, you think they recovered only six stumbles in total in the first 12 games of this year. Going into week 14, the Cowboys were at the pace of having the worst defense in NFL history, but apparently all they had to do was play for the Bengals.

The Cowboys played so well that they didn’t need much help from Dalton, but he decided to offer some somehow. The former Bengals quarterback got his old team’s last laugh when he hit Amari Cooper with a perfect strike for an 11-yard score in the second quarter.

Overall, Dalton threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cowboys are not a good team yet, but the good news for them is that you do not have to be good to win the NFC East. Although they are two games behind Washington in the NFC East, the Cowboys have a slight advantage in the final three weeks of the season: they have the rest of the table on any team in the division. A lot of crazy things have happened in 2020, even though the Cowboys feel like they are out of the race and yet their door should not be closed completely.
