A Queens complex care nurse who was at the forefront of the corona virus infection became the first person in New York and the first person in the United States to receive the Pfizer Govt-19 vaccine.
Sandra Lindsay, a leading care nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, was vaccinated on camera at Queen’s Hospital.
The applause erupted as Lindsay was caught by a life-threatening potential shot.
“It didn’t feel any different from taking any other vaccine,” Lindsay said. Michael Chester, director of Northwell Health Staff Health Services, said as soon as he was given the shot.
“I am not feeling well. I want to thank all the leading line workers, ”Lindsay said. “I feel confident. I feel relaxed.”
