According to a report by the Center for Public Integrity, the White House Corona virus task force recommended that Florida take tough corona virus action earlier this month as cases increase in the state and across the country.
“Florida has seen stability in new cases, an increase in test positives and an increase in hospitalizations and deaths, indicating relentless social outreach and adequate mitigation,” the White House task force report dated December 6 said.
The task force recommended that masks be worn in public places at all times, such as controlling crowds outside immediate homes and closing or minimizing capacity in public indoor spaces.

Florida reported 8,958 new corona virus cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 1,125,931. Florida recorded 7,876 new cases, the lowest on Sunday after Dec. 7.
Disantis suffered a setback for dealing with the epidemic, with critics accusing him of being too low in control. Desantis has pushed back the idea of issuing a statewide mask order, extending an administrative order earlier this month to prevent Florida cities from imposing fines on people for failing to comply with local mask orders.
In addition, the governor’s order prevented cities and districts from ordering restaurants to close their doors without showing economic or public health data to justify the move.
“I oppose the orders. I don’t think they will work,” Desantis said earlier this month. “People in Florida wear it. [masks] When they go out. They do not have to be built with a bayonet to do that. “
The governor has faced backlash from critics and some Florida media for not being forthcoming about the corona virus case data.
