“I would be shocked if there were no significant setbacks or closures in the state by January 1,” Eric Dixon, chief executive of Umas Memorial Healthcare in Worcester, told the Globe.
Sam Scorpino, director of the Emergency Epidemiology Laboratory at Northeastern University, said: “There can be no other way but to lock up.
“It’s not rocket science. It’s just math,” Dr John Santiago, an emergency room doctor and state legislator from Boston, said on Twitter. “If you wait too long, it will be bad for everyone.”

Massachusetts reported 4,677 new corona virus cases on Sunday, its fifth day.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, there are now 11,098 deaths and 279,574 cases reported. A further 251 deaths during this time are thought to be linked to COVID-19.
More than 1,700 people were hospitalized Sunday as the disease was confirmed, more than 340 were in intensive care units and nearly 180 were taken into custody.
