Among the stories you can go through today is “Wait, What?, Disney World is going to stop adding masks digitally to those who are not in their ride pictures, says a report WDW News today.
Even if you have never been to a theme park, you may have seen these kinds of photos: people on roller coasters screaming or having fun, being caught by a camera built into the ride and being sold at some crazy price. However, at the age of COVID-19, Disney had to change the way it handles these films. For example, in the past, if someone did not wear a ride mask, neither they nor anyone else in the picture could download or print it on the Disney app.
Understand how this can cause some annoyance – if you wear your mask while riding, why not get the picture because there is no one else? Disney’s solution to this, obviously, is to start adding masks digitally to the wearer (rather badly, as you can see in the tweet below).
It’s not clear when Disney started doing this, but it announced over the weekend that it would stop, saying in a statement that it had “tried to modify some of the ride photos”, but that it would “no longer do this and do not expect guests to wear the mask except when actively eating or drinking.” ”
It is not yet clear whether Disney will go back to its strict photography policy, where no one in the photo will be allowed to buy a copy unless someone is wearing a mask. Either way, it’s a good idea to wear a mask regardless of whether your holiday pictures depend on it.
