Buffalo bills rose 9-7 in the half against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Having said that, this game had a very dark outlook for the buffalo.
That is, until the bills (10-3) come out and seal this one in the second half. The Steelers (11-2) had some answers to the buffalo on their way to their 26-15 victory.
Hindsight 20/20, but with the video conference, wide receiver Stephen Dix, who played a big role in the improved play of the bills after a slow start, certainly knew his team was going to play even better. Second half against Pittsburgh.
“No, not in hell,” Dix said when asked if he was worried about the offense or if QB Josh Allen would go into the second half. “He was never too high, he was never too low. I tried to stay behind him and let him know we were back outside.”
Although Allen had a great effort in the second half, it was really Dix. After taking only three catches for 38 yards in the opening half, Dix added seven receptions for 92 yards and then a score.
The bills seemed to do the trick for the offense with some block and game plan changes at half time. Allen found more time to get the ball out quickly and did it, a lot of times for Dix.
But according to Whiteout, it is not so. At least in his own opinion, Dix, Pills’ playmakers, has included himself, who thinks he should win matches and be better … stay open.
“We weren’t in the first half,” Dix said.
Dix has this right to himself, not only does he speak two good words on the microphone. After Dix put the team on his back, many of his teammates were talking about him. However, they did not really mention his game on the field.
Instead what really matters is comments about his character.
The creation of the Dix All is much more advanced after half… but instead QB was outraged at how wrong they were in criticizing the star-wide buffalo trade in this past office.
“The juice, the energy, the excitement he brings when he’s on the field …” Allen said. “When we first traded for him, the whole media was very negative about him … It’s fascinating to me that people can misunderstand it because he’s not big on us.”
The buffalo anchor in the attack line, Diane Dawkins took it one step further. The team leader said Dix deserved to get his own post.
“Listen, Dix is so special. When I see him play, I want to rip my Captain ‘C’ and throw it at his chest because he’s a stud, man,” Dawkins said. “He’s grinding.”
Sometimes players may not know much about numbers, but it’s their time to add volumes to the comments made by Dix ‘team members. Up to 100 catches a year, in the next three games, one season (Eric Molts) needs one catch for Dicks to break the bills. Not only that, but his 1,167 receiving yards are currently a career high… Again, there are three games.
Even with publicly known numbers, the focus on Dix is not on tapping his hands or feet. It’s his attitude and leadership for the bills, which makes his acquisition somehow seem smarter than it already was.
