My 68-year-old brother, whom I have always looked up to in life, who is known for being street wise and giving a reasoned voice to others, became entangled in Trump worship, was unrecognizable in his comments, and I was as shocked as many guides. Of course, he confirmed that COVID in general was a democratic deception and the worst, and as I understand it, fought against attempts to wear masks and other restrictions on his Facebook posts.
Well, a week ago I found out that my brother, who was a picture of much less masculinity and vitality than my age, finally agreed to go to the hospital after he refused to acknowledge Kovit’s presence and was immediately admitted to the ICU. While breathing for air in the hospital, he was posting on Facebook for others in his state to resist isolation and other restrictions, while a person hoarded a cigarette and was in oxygen with emphysema. The next day (last Tuesday) they determined that 100% oxygen had not reduced it, and they put him on a ventilator. Since then he has been up and down, wearing his sedative, lying face down, still on top of it, and fighting the invading tube with the food pipe. I was informed that he had attended a large family gathering knowing that he was not well. Since his ex-wife was in the hospital with it at the time, her husband and her ex-mother-in-law own it, her daughters and their husbands and some grandchildren, who were there as I understand it.
I say all this so as not to insult my dear brother, all of which are already in the family Facebook posts, but I will share this (a) ask for prayer for my brother and other family members, (b) try to encourage others not to be arrogant as a warning, and our Make these mistakes to avoid hurting loved ones too, and if practiced, we will try to save the lives of others here.
