Today the government headed by President Luis Abinader went ahead with the total of five future activities to artists, for this way to help the music industry.
Under the responsibility of each orchestra leader, the musicians will be able to receive by mutual agreement the item corresponding to the payroll payment for these futuristic events.
El Torito promised not only to pay in advance the five commitments with the Government, but also to him will give the part that corresponds to him like leader and singer of the orchestra.
“With what we would be talking about, each musician will receive an average of 10 dances in advance,” the Bonao performer said in a statement.
“I will distribute everything to my musicians, sound engineers, manboys, office staff and with that they would add 10 dances each, although my commitment to the government is 5 dances,” said El Torito.
Although the musicians have been severely affected by the pandemic, a wave of negative comments has been generated on social media because established artists have been paid in advance to sing at the Christmas holidays and when the pandemic allows for other scheduled events.
For this reason, Tony Peña Guaba, coordinator of the Social Policy Cabinet, clarified that the money given it is not a gift.
