Only two new cases of COVID-19 is recorded in the Dominican winter ball, according to the report provided by the Ministry of Public Health and Welfare and the Dominican Baseball League (Lidom).

The new cases registered correspond to members of the Eastern Stars, of San Pedro de Macorís
The report notes that there were 5,440 samples in the period from 5/10/2020 to 13/12/2020 and there are only 66 positive cases among the players and staff of the Cibaeñas Eagles (7); Eastern Stars (12), Licey Tigers (18); Eastern Bulls (7); Giants of the Cibao (18) and Lions of the Chosen (4).
In the Eagles 926 tests were made, 926 in the Stars; 738 in the Tigers; 962 in the Bulls; 915 in the Giants and 973 in the Lions.
The new cases registered correspond to members of the Eastern Stars, of San Pedro de Macorís.
The report also gives an account of 51 recovered; Cibaeñas Eagles (6); Stars (5); Licey (16), Bulls (4), Giants (16), and Lions (4).
Lidom and the Ministry of Public Health maintain actions to prevent the spread such as social distancing, strict isolation of detected cases and the support of a personal physician to validate compliance with current protocol.
