According to two recent reports, the marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is undergoing some changes. A source told E! Online, the couple “does their thing,” adding, “They spend a lot of time apart.” Now, considering that E! aires Keep up with the Kardashians (for a final season, that is), there is a different possibility that this source is Kris Jenner, but unfortunately. Kardashian and West are “focused on the things that are important to them,” according to the source, including raising their four children along with their own “time for me.” “She lets him out and be who he is,” the source said of Kardashian’s current dynamic with West. “It’s what it is.” The E! Report, published on December 15, follows previous reports from People on Dec. 11, a source told the magazine, “Kim has jobs and projects that are important to her and Kanye has hers. Their lives do not overlap much. The source went on to say that Kardashian and West “live very apart.”
The news comes after West was evidently absent at Kardashian’s 40th birthday party. The match coincided with the final stretch of West’s controversial failed presidency, but he sent his wife a hologram from his late father, Robert Kardashian. Nor was it the first time West’s presidential bid had hampered his relationship with Kardashian. In July, West tweeted a number of personal details about his relationship with Kardashian and his family, after claiming at a rally that he and Kardashian had once considered an abortion. Kardashian made a rare public statement about her husband’s mental health at the time, calling for “compassion and empathy.” Shortly afterwards, a source explained People Kardashian wanted to “save her marriage” and “was not happy” with her presidency. At the end of August, People reported that West had spent more time with Kardashian and her children, but a source later told “Page Six” that the divorce could still be on the table after West spoke back to Nick Cannon about his views on abortion.
The latest news about Kimye’s condition arrives as the Kardashians prepare for the final season of their eponymous reality show, ready for E! in 2021. On Disney’s investment day, Dec. 10, the company announced that the Kardashians had signed a multi-year deal to produce “new global content” with Hulu. Meanwhile, Khloé Kardashian also revealed on Twitter that the family would not be celebrating their iconic annual Christmas party due to COVID-19. But according to the source of E !, this does not make Christmas an opportunity for the Kardashian Wests. “They will spend Christmas Eve with the family having a discreet meeting,” the source said of the couple. “They won’t pass like years ago, but they will do something as a family and they will all be together.”
