Two brothers who emigrated from Honduras in a caravan to the United States, lost their lives after the truck in which they were moving by car crashed in the municipality of San José Acatempa, Jutiapa department, Guatemala.
The deceased were identified by parents such as Leandro and Cristian Fuentes, aged 14 and 18 respectively, who came from the community of Las Champas de Nueva Arcadia, Copán.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, hours after the brothers, along with a brother-in-law and other migrants in the caravan, called for a lift in Esquipulas, after crossing the border Agua Caliente, between Honduras and Guatemala.
The youths boarded a white truck, with plates C-181BGZ, carrying bulk coffee from Chiquimula in Jutiapa, however, in a section recognized by the danger of the curves, in the sector of La Conora, for unknown reasons, the vehicle plunges into a depression about 25 meters deep.
The accident of the truck caused the instant death of them brothers Sources, while the driver of the truck, the co-pilot and another person, were buried in the grave and were taken to a care center in Jutiapa. Denis Fernando Valle, brother-in-law of the deceased brothers, said the young people joined the caravan last Friday at La Entrada.
