The United States has repatriated 2,153 Dominicans so far this year

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) repatriated this March country to 32 Dominicans serving sentences in prisons in that nation for various crimes. With this group, 2,153 people have been deported so far this year.

According to US authorities most Creoles were arrested and sentenced for drug sales and trafficking, which specifies cocaine, heroin, crack and marijuana.

In the group consisting of 30 men and two women, there are 13 people who were taken to enter the United States illegally.

The deportees were brought to the country on board flight number SWQ 3562, registration plane N529UA of the SWIFT AIR airline from Brownsville, which arrived at the Las Américas terminal, José Francisco Peña Gómez at 12:00 noon on Tuesday .

To receive the repatriates, an operation will be set up that will include officials from the General Directorate of Migration, members of the Specialized Corps of Airport Security and Civil Aviation (CESAC), the National Investigation Department (DNI), the National Police and a staff of ramp support belonging to Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom).
