Listen to the Foo Fighters covering Chuck Berry’s “Run Rudolph Run.”

The Foo Fighters have released a new cover of Chuck Berry’s Christmas rock and roll classic, “Run Rudolph Run.” The song was released as an Amazon Original ahead of Foo Fighters’ Amazon Music Holiday works special, which premieres on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. ET.

The track finds the Foo Fighters filtering Berry’s rock & roll boogie through an amazing rock lens, ripping off the guitars and adding a little more weight to the drums, without losing the original energy.

The Foo Fighters will perform their cover of “Run Rudolph Run” during their Holiday works episodes. Its special follows the performances of Miley Cyrus and Kiana Ledé, while Lil Nas X has hosted the series.

Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl has thoroughly hosted the holiday season this year, both Holiday works special and his “Hanukkah Sessions” series with producer Greg Kurstin. For each night of Hanukkah, Grohl and Kurstin have shared covers of songs by Jewish artists, so far dealing with Bob Dylan’s “Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35”, Peaches’ “Fuck the Pain Away”, “Mississippi Queen” by Mountain, the Beastie “Sabotage” for kids and “Hotline Bling” by Drake.

In addition, Grohl and the Foo Fighters are preparing the release of their new album, Medicine at midnight, which is scheduled to arrive on February 25th.
