Several Gmail users on Tuesday faced error messages and other issues, a day after Google’s email service suffered disruptions around the world.
At around 4:30 pm ET on Tuesday, the Google service status page reported “a significant subset of users” experiencing “error messages, high latency, and / or other unexpected behavior.”
The company noted that “affected users can access Gmail,” but later encounter errors beyond general access to the tool.
Downdetector, a website that monitors reports on website issues, also reported similar issues around 3 p.m.
According to the tracker, Tuesday’s issues seemed to mainly affect Gmail servers. Many users had also reported problems with YouTube on Monday.
The company updated the service repair status page around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, saying, “The Gmail service has already been restored for some users and we expect a resolution for all users in one near future”.
