A young woman is shot in Mayaguez

A person was wounded by a bullet at around 6:30 pm yesterday, on the PR-348 road, near a bakery in Mayagüez, police reported today, Wednesday.

The complainant, Joseph Gilberto Ríos Pérez, 21, a resident of Jardines de Mayaguez, said that while walking down the road, he would come near a bakery, someone who did not know would shoot him, getting in the museum right with entry and exit.

Ríos Pérez was transported by a friend to the Mayagüez Medical Center, where he received medical attention.

Agent Carlos Sanchez, of the Homicide Division, along with Officer Heriberto Medina of Technical Services was in charge of the investigation.
