Last October the 2010 Oscar winner for Crazy Heart Jeff Bridges announced that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma and assured that his doctors are optimistic about his recovery. Two months later, the Hollywood star shared in social redissolutions an image of him in full treatment.
“Here’s the last one: I’m fine, I shaved my head, I have a puppy -Monty- and it’s 71 years old,” wrote the renowned actor in the photo he posted on his Instagram account where he has more of 400,000 followers.
On October 28, eight days after announcing his illness, he also shared a picture of him in full treatment and took the opportunity to thank all the displays of affection he had received. “I want to thank everyone for helping during this time, it feels good to receive all the good wishes and love!”
Bridges, one of Hollywood’s most recognized and consistent figures, without specifying what type of lymphoma was indicated was already in treatment. “Como el Dude diría”, began in his message on Twitter in reference to his iconic character in The Great Lebowski (1998). “New shit has come to light. I have been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it is a serious illness, I feel lucky to have a great team of doctors, and the prognosis is good, “said the actor. “I am deeply grateful for the love and support of my family and friends.”
There are many types of lymphoma, one of the most common is called Hodgkin’s disease, although the actor has not given further details of his diagnosis.
Jeff Bridges (Los Angeles, USA, 1949) is a veteran of the big screen, who made his film debut in the early 1970s. Among his iconic roles is the character Dude in the cult classic The Big Lebowski, of the Coen brothers.

He was nominated for seven Oscars and won the Golden Figurine in 2010 for the drama Crazy Heart, which he co-starred with Maggie Gyllenhaal under the direction of Scott Cooper.
Married since 1977 to Susan Bridges and the son of actors Lloyd Bridges and Dorothy Bridges, his interest has also stood out for his forays into other arts, such as music and photography.
