Kelly McCormick, Leitch’s wife, will be producing “Bullet Train” along with production company 87North and Antoine Fuqua, who directed the film “Training Day,” starring Denzel Washington.
“Bullet Train”, at the moment, will be Bad Bunny’s second film experience, after which he premiered as an actor in the film “American Sole”, and in which he will be part of the production team along with American comedian Kevin Hart and basketball player Chris Paul.
Other actors who will star in “American Sole,” son of Pete Davidson, a member of the TV show ‘Saturday Night Live’; OShea Jackson Jr., eldest son of legendary American rapper Ice Cube; Camila Mendes, and the offset rapper.
The film is directed by Ian Edelman, who has already had experience directing other Puerto Rican actors, including Luis Guzmán, in the film ‘Puerto Ricans in Paris’.
“We are very excited about the way the cast is being incorporated, and excited that Bad Bunny will be involved in the film,” said Fogelson, president of STXfilms Motion Picture Group, at the time.
“As an actor,” referring to Benito Martinez – Bad Bunny’s nickname – “he will demonstrate incredible entertainment value, but with real authenticity in his role.”
The Puerto Rican artist is also expected to stand out in his role as a star invitation to the third season of the Netflix series, “Narcos: Mexico.” Bad Bunny will play the character of Arturo ‘Kitty’ Paez, a member of Ramón Arellano Félix’s Gang ‘Narco Juniors’.
The rag picker will be a rich young man from high society who falls for a poster.
This third season will be set in the 90s when the drug business will begin to globalize.
