Bachelorette fan favorite Joe Park revealed Wednesday that he had received the COVID-19 vaccine, documenting the process on social media
Park, a 36-year-old New York anesthesiologist who appeared in the most recent season of “The Bachelorette,” posted step-by-step clips in her Instagram story.
“All right, here we are,” Park headlined the first post: “Step 1: Sign Up (When Allowed).”
In the second post, Park is seen signing a consent form before a doctor injects him with the vaccine for the third step.
“Step 4: Follow up for 15-20 minutes,” Park stressed. “Tylenol for any pain at the injection site. It’s about being so vewy bwave !! ”
The final publication showed Park’s medical authorization with the sticker: “I received my COVID-19 vaccine.”
In October, Park made her debut with “Bachelorette” competing for Clare Crawley’s Affections. Crawley, 39, was engaged to former NFL player Dale Moss, prompting Tayshia Adams to step in.
Park was eliminated from the competition during week 6.
On Sunday, Park posted a video about the COVID-19 vaccine on his Instagram page, where he discussed a myriad of topics ranging from vaccine safety and how mRNA [messenger RNA] vaccines work.
MRNA vaccines tell cells how to build a protein, according to the CDC, to trigger an immune response in the body. According to the site, “this immune response, which produces antibodies, is what protects us from infection if the real virus enters our bodies.”
Park is the very survivor of COVID-19 and told Entertainment Weekly in November that he contracted the virus in the spring.
“I had COVID in late March, early April … My hospital was probably the second most affected hospital in New York City,” he told the dam. “It was a red zone and it was everywhere. It was kind of an initial phase. We had PPE, thankfully, but people weren’t as picky with their PPE at the time. And there were hundreds and hundreds of patients we treated with COVID. “
