MONTERREY, Nuevo León.- In the house of Edwin Luna, 33, y Kim Flores, of 31, already breathes the Christmas spirit, with adornments everywhere, great lights and gifts. The couple welcomed us in their home and told us how he will celebrate the Christmas in the company of his children. With faith and hope, they told us that their wish for 2021 is to be together and have a lot of health:
-Edwin and Kim, how will they celebrate Christmas this year?
Edwin (E): “We will spend it here in Monterrey, with the favor of God, all together. My mom turns 22 on December and we usually put it together with Christmas, but I hope she can come because she lives in San Antonio (USA) and we understand that it is risky to travel right now. ”
-Your children are very excited …
E: “Sure, they still believe in ‘Santa Claus’ and you are seeing what they will ask for. They always look forward to these dates, because it gives them a lot of excitement to decorate the house and celebrate; in addition, it is one of the few nights that we let them sleep late ”.
So, we share your excitement for these holidays:
-Tell us, what do they usually do on Christmas Eve?
E: “We hug and have dinner; last year we made turkey and punch. ”
Kim (K): “We also pray to thank God for what He has given us during the year. Although I’m from Guatemala, I’m already adopting the customs of my husband’s family. “
-How do you feel about sharing holidays with your children?
E: “It’s a very big emotion. Our children have changed the way we feel and think a lot. ”
-How do you get along with them?
E: “They love and respect each other; although the truth is, sometimes it is complicated, because they have different ages: Giana is 2 years old, Elian, 14, and Demiancito and Dasha, 7. The older one has an incredible patience and the little ones admire their brother ”.
-And how was this 2020 for you?
E: “It was difficult, but with health we were able to get ahead and keep working. At first it hit me very emotionally, but then he took the opportunity to enjoy my family. Being at home these months and watching my children grow up is the best gift that life can give me ”.
K: “We learned a lot of choices, this year made us grow a lot as a family and we are more united than ever.”
-What would be your wish for 2021?
K: “I just hope for health and growing as a person, always putting the family first. We are waiting to know what will happen, but together we can do everything, we have a lot of faith to start 2021 better than this year “.
E: “Health is the most important thing, so I want next year, no matter what happens, to be healthy, because tomorrow is coming to add,” he concluded.
