The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Plutarch Arias, warned that the chances of coronavirus infestation of young people is very high, as well as their transmission to households.
“We are talking about 65% of young people who are transmitting the disease from the street to their homes,” said Arias during the presentation of the Operation Commitment for Life, conducted by the Emergency Operations Center (COE ) and other state institutions.
Arias urged young people to avoid visits and give grandparents hugs, and asked the population to maintain social distancing, wear masks, continue hand washing, avoid crowds in public spaces and go few people. in supermarkets.
“The commitment not to lower our guard is important; we are about to see vaccines coming to the country, but we need to be alive and well to get vaccinated,” the minister added.
