With Jim Carrey (mercifully) deciding to step down as President-elect Joe Biden, Saturday night live he wasted no time in introducing his successor to the last episode of the 2020 program.
“I’m sure all Americans are excited to see me, the guy who let COVID spread everywhere, get one of the first vaccines,” said Mike Pence of Beck Bennett at the top of the open sketch. He assured the American people that the shooting is “completely safe and harmless, which is why President Trump refuses to do so or talk about it.”
After trying to get the doctor to inject her vaccine in the back, Kamala Harris, of Maya Rudolph, joined her on stage. “How did you even get to the White House?” Pence asked.
“I won more votes,” she replied. When she began to question the election results, she slapped him.
Then came the moment of truth when Harris presented the president-elect and a royal one SNL The cast member used a cane to get out before dropping it in Willy Wonka style to make a somersault entry. Yes, the work has been handed over to Alex Moffat, perhaps best known for his always hilarious impression of Eric Trump.
When Pence pointed out that he looked “different,” Biden de Moffat explained, “Yes. I’m like Colonel Sanders. Every time you see me, I’m a different guy. There’s a lot of chance that by these dates, next year , be it Mario López. Now, where are the vaccines? “
“I just want to let the American people know one thing. You are about to have a real leader again. You will have the best cabinet in the history of American politics, ”Biden promised.
“And I’ll make sure Joe never specifies what that means,” Harris added. “This is my Christmas present for you, America.” When Biden started talking about Kwanzaa, he quickly got him off the stage.
At the very least, it wasn’t the funniest impression of all time so far, but it was definitely less unnecessarily manic than Carrey’s and has a lot of potential for the next four years.
