Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State topped the Associated Press college football final of the regular season on Sunday, with No. 4 Notre Dame ahead of No. 5 Texas A&M.
Before the College Football Playoff selection committee revealed their selections for the final, AP Top 25 voters released their final standings. The Fighting Irish were comfortably 41 points behind the Aggies.
Cincinnati undefeated was No. 6. Indiana, Oklahoma, Carolina Coast and Florida completed the top 10.
The only team to fall out of the rankings this week was Buffalo, who lost the Mid-American Conference title.
Oregon’s unease in Southern California in the game for the Pac-12 title lifted the Ducks to the No. 25 ranking. USC dropped nine places from 13 to 22 after their first loss of the season.
San Jose State has made the biggest jump in the rankings this week. The Spartan invaders climbed six places to No. 25-19 after winning the Mountain West Championship against Boise State.
Alabama passed its weekly appearance streak in the poll to 212, breaking the tie with Florida State and moving to the only possession of second place on the all-time list. Nebraska ranked first with a streak of 348 between 1981 and 2002.
